Checks should be made out to: SCA, Inc. - Ostgardr
Please include SCA and mundane name and, if a member, proof of membership -
a photocopy of membership card.
Reservations without proof of membership will be required to show proof at the
door or be charged the NMS. If you would like confirmation, please include
a SASE or an email address with your reservation.
The site is damp (beer, wine, mead only), but there is a bar on-site.
Regrettably, the site is not particularly accessible for those with mobility issues. The Hall in which Court will take place has a ramp and is moderately friendly, but the Feast Hall, merchants and restrooms are all up or down a flight of stairs.
The site is also on the small side, so please pack lightly.
Unless coming from New York City, your best bet is probably to make your best route to I684.
From South:
Take best route to I-684 N (signs for Brewster/I-684)
(Highways which connect are -The Hutchinson River Parkway N or Route 287 (which
runs E-W)
Take exit 4 for RT-172 toward Mount Kisco/Bedford
Turn left onto S Bedford Rd/RT-172
Go to 1st stop light and turn Right onto McLain Avenue.
Go to second stop sign and turn Left onto Barker Street.
Follow this through two stop signs, turn left at next traffic light onto North Bedford Road/Route 117.
Site will be next right - American Legion Way/ Brookside Avenue
From North:
Take Best Route to I84
From New York City and similar departure points, either head to I684 as above, or take your best route to the Saw Mill Parkway - you are heading north of I287, so pick it up at whatever point best suits you. Take the Saw Mill Parkway north to exit 34, Rt-133/Mount Kisco. Merge onto S. Croton Ave, then turn right at the first traffic light onto Rt-133. Continue for half a mile or so, then turn left onto Route 117/N. Bedford Road. Site is immediately on your left.
PARKING, UPDATED
Parking at the site itself is very limited. We are able to use the lot
of the church across the street, but even so parking is a little tight.
Once those lots are filled, overflow parking is near the site, at the
shopping center; those are metered spots - 1/2 hour for twenty-five cents,
quarters only, two hours on the meter at one time - until 6pm. Therefore,
carpooling or mass transit is highly encouraged.
This MAP has directions and small map of the local area.
The Mount Kisco train station is very near the site. Take the Harlem Line. MTA Schedule finder
Look at the MAP to see the location of the site and the train station. The train station is on the left, the site on the right. The scale bar suggests that it is about 1,000 feet as the crow flies from train station to site.
Schedule/Directions for Train
